he whispers doesn’t hurt
as much just keep breathing
but it did, pain waves
from the door ajar
like a sequined scar
seeping sensimilla

Robert Vaughan's plays have been produced in N.Y.C., L.A., S.F., and Milwaukee where he resides. He leads two writing roundtables for Redbird- Redoak Writing.
